September 5, 1932 – September 14, 2024
Entered into rest at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Marjorie Mitchell (nee McFadden) of Picton, died at the age of 92.  Beloved wife for 68 years to Lee.  Loving mother of Cathy Dilworth (Paul) of Port Stanley, Karen Gadd (Wylie) of Belleville and step-mother of Rick Lammes (Nez) of Prince Edward County.  Loved grandmother of Jeff (Michelle), Josh (Catherine), Jamie, and Brad (Jane) and great grandmother of Scarlett, Preston, Brooklyn, Aubrey, and Henry.  Dear sister of Ray McFadden (Donna) and Gary McFadden (Theresa), all of Brockville and predeceased by her twin sister Marion Stewart.  Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie’s life was one of adventure and love. She cherished her boating trips, motor home travels, and the special moments spent in Las Vegas with her sister. But above all, she adored her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Her adventurous spirit and deep love for her family will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her. She may be gone, but her memory will always shine bright.
To the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and all the staff at Prince Edward Memorial Hospital, our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the care and compassion you showed our mother. In such a difficult time, your kindness, professionalism, and dedication provided comfort to her and to all of us.  We will always be grateful for the support and care you provided during her time with you.
Mrs. Mitchell rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place.  A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Sophiasburgh Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
